Bush Kitchen - Iron Knob
Part 1 completed - Part 2 in progress
The Bush Kitchen has finally gone from imagination to reality and the facility is really shaping up well.
Funding has been provided by FRRR (Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal) and Iron Knob Progress Assoc.
Work for the Dole program was also utilised in the construction of the building which certainly helps keep costs to a minimum
The Bush Kitchen is already equipped with a 2 burner BBQ and soon to be completed upgrades will include a stainless steel sink and running water.
You will also find a clothes line and 'bush shower'' provided for campers.
The Bush Kitchen is available to Residents and visitors, with camping sites adjacent to the Kitchen. A donation is appreciated for the use of these facilities.
Across from the Bush Kitchen is the Town playground which will soon be revamped. The old playground equipment is going to be recycled and used in the Gawler Ranges.
